Adoption

Our application process is simple and inexpensive, but does still require careful consideration and $50 for an adult cat or $80 for a kitten. This is a big step; a commitment for the lifetime of the animal you're about to be entrusted with.

There is always a waiting period of a few days while we screen the applicant. This is not a pet shop, it's an adoption center. We want to make sure that our rescue animals go to homes where they're really valued and loved, because they've already had enough of the opposite. 

We also require prospective mom/dad to be agreeable to a visit from us a couple of weeks after adoption, to make sure everything is going well. If either party is unhappy with the placement at that time, Soft Spot Critter Cafe will be happy to take the animal back. If the adopter just finds that things for any reason are not working out, Soft Spot Critter Cafe will issue a prompt refund.

If the adopter is found to have broken the contract, however, the animal will be removed and the adoption fee forfeited.
